About the Event

It’s been truly inspiring to see the response community colleges have made since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis. Our instinctive response to be a part of the solution reveals so much about who we are and what we value.

Now – more than ever – faculty are being called upon to take leadership roles in creating the changes this moment requires, and it has been gratifying (and not surprising!) to see them step up.

Five years ago, TCCTA announced the Faculty Fellows program, to prepare new faculty (in their first five years of teaching) for leadership in the profession. That work is more urgently needed now than when we started, and we hope your school will be included in this coming year’s class.

Specifically designed for new faculty — in their first five years at their institution — who have demonstrated potential to be strong and engaged leaders, the fellows program is geared to help aspiring faculty realize this potential, and maximize the impact they have in contributing to the success of their institution and students.

We believe this high-quality, statewide leadership development can help create the next generation of faculty leaders, preparing them to understand the complex environment we’re operating in and equipping them to think strategically about how best to respond to the challenges we face.
